Engineering and Engineering Technology Minors and Certificates

的 Engineering and Engineering Technology department offers minors in 体系结构, 电气工程技术, 机械工程技术, as well as certificates in 电气工程技术, 增材制造工程, & Advanced Composite Materials and Manufacturing. Minors and certificates are open to student of all majors; including the EET certificate to EET majors. Students interested in the minor or certificate do not need an extensive math background.

体系结构

Civil Engineering Technology offers a minor in 体系结构 (ARCH) for interested students. This option provides students the opportunity to become familiar with architecture and develop a specialized area of interest within the field. 在追捕未成年人, students will get to work hands-on with their own 设计s and see the collaboration between fields. 另外, students who complete the minor in 体系结构 have a standing invitation to further purse the subject at the University of Pécs. 的 体系结构 minor is composed of 18 credit hours.

电气工程技术 offers a certificate for interested students. This certificate offer students from any major the opportunity to become familiar with the fundamentals of 电气工程技术 such as DC and AC circuits, 发电机, 汽车, 是从汤姆斯电路, 数字电路, 和微控制器.

Students interested in the certificate do not need an extensive math background.

Certificate students who are interested in continuing to the 电气工程技术 Bachelor of Science are required to take EET 1140 & 1150, EET 2145.

Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) offers the 增材制造工程 certificate for interested students; this certificate is open to students from any major.

Students interested in the certificate do not need an extensive math background.

的 增材制造工程 certificate is 设计ed to prepare students with hands-on training and knowledge necessary to meet increasing demand in the 设计, 扫描, and manufacture of components with additive 制造技术. 的 program will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in material identification, 三维设计与扫描, 增材制造的设计, direct digital 制造技术, 检查, 和应用程序. All of the courses within this certificate can be applied toward the completion of a major in the Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) program. 的 certificate in 增材制造工程 is comprised of a minimum of 18 credit hours.

Advanced Composite Materials and Manufacturing Certificate

Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) offers the Advanced Composite Materials and Manufacturing certificate for interested students; this certificate is open to students from any major.

Students interested in the certificate do not need an extensive math background.

的 Advanced Composite Materials and Manufacturing certificate is 设计ed to prepare students with hands-on training and knowledge necessary to meet increasing demand in the 设计, manufacture and repair of components constructed with advanced composite materials, 比如碳和芳纶纤维. 的 program will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in material identification, 设计, 综合安全, 制造技术, 检查, 和维修. 的 certificate in Advanced Composite Materials and Manufacturing is comprised of a minimum of 15 credit hours.
